D1-D3 Beiing-Lhasa Train Journey
First and second day on yours journey through train
Take Train T27 from Beijing to Lhasa at 9:30pm on D1, arrive in Lhasa at 4:10pm on D3.

Overnight in Lhasa
Tips: acclimatize to high altitude at first two days in Lhasa
1.You may feel a little bit tired and uncomfortable when you arrive in Lhasa, If you lack of oxygen, you can take the oxygen in the hotel,clinic or hospital.but please try to avoid take any oxygen and adapt to high altitude by yourself if you do not feel too bad,becuase there is still a long way to go, if you quite depend on oxygen, you would be hard to adapt to higher altitude at Shigatse,Rongpu Monastery and Everest,which are above 3400m.
2.Please don't take shower at the first two days when you are in Lhasa, it is easy to catch cold and make you feel exhausted.
3.Any alcohol is forbiden at the first two days when you are in Lhasa, otherwise you might be suffered from High Altitude Sickness.
D4: Lhasa City Tour(B.D)
Visiting the famous Potala palace, Jokhang temple and Barkhor street
Morning section to visit the famous Potala Palace, which is situated on the marpori(red hill) and is abode of boddhisattva of compassion, Avalokiteshvara. The potala palace is divided into two parts, white and red palace is about 119m tall.the red palace had 13 storeys, Golden tomb from fifth to thirteenth Dalai lama. Songtsen gonpo’s meditation cave is situated in white palace is oldest chamber in the history of whole potala palace. Afternoon section visiting to Johkang temple, built during Songtsen Gonpo’s reign by princess Wencheng of Tang dynasty. The most interesting thing in Jokhang is the sacred goat head in the Jampa chapel which is believe to "self-arisen" ie not man made. Then exploring the famous old barkhor street, enjoing shoping traditional Tibetan things around the street.
D5:Lhasa City Tour(B)
Driving towards Drepung monastery and Sera monastery(not more than five kilometers around Lhasa city)
Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. the monastery is divided into two different colleges that is Drepung loselling and Drepung Gomang college. The Ganden podrang is famous among them as it is the government centre during fifth Dalai lama and later moved to the famous Potala palace during fifth Dalai lama.
In the afternoon exploring the Sera monastery which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa’s disciple Jamchen Choeje. The whole monastery is divided into two colleges and there are Sera ‘jhe’ and Sera ‘may’ respectively. Among them “Tsokhang chenmo” where the monks from all the colleges assemble and pray together there.you can also see monks debaiting there in the courtyard at around 6-7:30 in the afternoon section.Note: if you don’t feel tired, you can try for the khora(circumambling around) Drepung and Sera monastery.Your tour guide and driver will drop you back to your hotel.
D6: Lhasa/Namtso Lake/Lhasa(B)
Driving towards the yangpachen hot spring and the sacred lake Namtso.(500km for around-way)with good black asphalt surface.
Namtso is Tibetan word,means “heavenly lake”is situated in Damxung county with about 240km from Lhasa. The lake is 70km long, 30km in wide,35m and is second largest lake in china. The melted snow and ice of the Nyenchen Thangla mountains forms the water supply of Namtso. Through this journey you can see the most famous ice-capped Nyenchen Thangla mountain ranges and Yangpachen geothermal power station and hot spring pool. Also pesture land where the nomads gaze their animals and you feels like the whole pesture is dotted with yaks.
D7: Lhasa/Gyantse(B)
Driving towards Yamdrok-tso and Gyantse kumbhum monastery (300km). The road condition is very good with black asphalt road
It is better to leave early in the morning and in about one and half hourway, there is a county called “chushor”quxu in chinese where have to move towards the lhokha(shannan) prefecture. A few kilometers from chushor is famous pass kangpa-la with4700m.from the top of the pass in clear weather, you can see the fabulous shade of deep torquoise. Yamdrok-yutso is shaped like coiling scorpion with deep blue in colour. Far in the distance is the huge massif of mount Nanchan kangtsang(7191m). just a few kilometrers driving through the shore of lake yamdrok-yutso reches Nangartse county and is the largest town on the lake side and popular stop for the night. Leaving yamdrok-tso is a spectacular as arrriving, since you have to cross the 4960m karo-la with its awesome roadside views of the Nanchan- Kangtsang glacier. It was here that Younghusband’s british troops clashed with tibetan forces en route to lhasa.then reached to our day’s final destination Gyantse. Relax a night in hotel.
D8:Gyantse/Shigatse(B)
Moving towards Shigatse to visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery.(90km) with smooth black tar road upto Tashi Lhunpo monastery
Morning section for Kubum monastery is the town’s foremost attraction. The 35m-high chorten(stupa) with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like goldendome, is awe-inspiring.you can visit every chambers in the monastery. Kubum means 100,000 images in tibetan. Then experince the life of common tibetan people’s life around the town and also the Gyantse fort. Then moving towards the shigatse city. After finished up yours lunch, you can visit the famous Tashi lhunpo monastery and is one of the the six great Gelukpa institutions and was founded in 1447 by a disciple of Tsongkapa, Genden drup who was first dalai lama. Jamkhang Chenmo, containing the world’s largest gilded copper image(26m high) of future god Jampa.Then in evening you can visit the famous tibetan market below the shigatse Zong.
D9: Shigatse/Lhasa(280km, 5 hours, smooth road)(B)
There is no tourist sites to visit today, our only purpose is drive back to Lhasa, rest in Lhasa in the afternoon.
D10: Leave Tibet(B)
Our tour guide will see you off in person at Lhasa airport or train station, end the tour.

Warm Notes1. All of road from Yamtso Lake to Langkazi was repaired in 2007
2. At high altitude sleeping at Rongbu is so cold hard to sleep suggest to overnight at warm Tinggri then safely arrive at E.B.C.

3. During the raining season sometimes the weather will be not good enough to see the Mt. Everest. But you also have a chance to see the surrouding high snow mountain with fabulous view.
4. Take very warm clothes and shoes with you to Mt. Evrest so that you can focous on the wonderful scenery.
5. You had better take some fast food like cookie chocolate with you because there is not so much delicious food from Tinggri to E.B.C.
